What is Global Warming and how does it effect you?

After waking from a peaceful nights sleep, have you ever glanced out of your window and noticed the weather? The weather looking from the window seems to be beautiful. The sun is beaming extra bright, the clouds look pure white and fluffy just sowly moving through out the clear blue sky. You think to yourself, "Oh my, its a beautiful day outside compared to how it was looking yesterday." So you decide that you are going to take full advantage or the apparent sunshine. You leave the scenic view from the window to prepare yourself for your day ahead. You groom yourself by taking a shower, brushing your teeth and hair, and then you take out your clothes. You finish getting dress and make your way stead fast to the door to walk outside. But when you step outside its like an illussion or bad dream, the weather doesn't feel the way it looked from the window. Instead of it being bright and sunny, its dull and looks as if its going to rain, the temperature drops and the wind is whistling and blowing at about 45mph. As a human you naturally get mad and go back into the house to change for the weather. Humans can do this but animals, insects nor plants cant. This is one of the effects of global warming.

Global Warming is the effect of humans emitting greenhouse gases into the Earth's atmosphere that cause climatic and global change. Greenhouse gases such as Carbon Dioxide that can come from car exhaust, coal bruning as a way of heat, Nitrous Oxide, Methane from agricultural wastes are just a few. Every few years a group of scientist called the International Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC, taking from leaders all over the world meet up to discuss new results and problems that arise due to global warming. They report how rapidly the Earth's warming up, measurements, changes with animal and vegetation life and the Earth's natural resources. The group of Scientists have reported that the Earth has warmed up to 1 degree every couple of decades. This is a serious problem for the species of mankind.

Global Warming is triggered by a variety of things.ONe reason is that the combustion of fossil fuels, cars, factories and electric production which emitts out the most resposible gas for causing Global Warming and that is Carbon Dioxide. Carbon Dioxide is the gas that humans exhale from our lungs through our mouths. Its is absorbed by plants so that they can produce food to begin photosynthesis. In some ways we have a recycling system with the plant life. They give us oxygen to breathe and we give them in result carbon dioxide to feed. Due to the cutting down of forests, carbon dioxide or co2 are having a harder time being contained. Global warming is not just mine or your problems, its everybody's problem. The effects of global warming on earth are increasing and iof we dont do anything soon, the planet and its many inhabitants of life could go into extinction life our prehistoric dinosaurs.

Just as Global warming effects our lives it affects our neightbors, animals and plant life as well. Plants such as Wild Gernaiums, Columbine, even roses are flowering or blossoming earlier than in previous years. Brids are laying and hatching out of their eggs at a shorter time period. Birds such as Chickens, Robins, and crows. Animals(mammals) like squirrels, bears and skunks are breaking out of hibernation. For example Marmots In Colorado end their hiberntaion 3 weeks earlier then previous observed. Animals such as foxes and butterflies are migrating to higher elevations for higher and cooler climates. Adeile Penguins on Antartica has declined from 32,000 to 11,000 within the past 30years. North Pole ice caps is melting causing the sea levels to rise. Which if rises could cause worldwide sea levels to rise and flood continental land. It has even changed the weather, preciptation ( rain and snowfall) have reached record highs falling in some places who havent seen rain or snow for centuries than ever before. If plants and animals die, this would have a terrible outcome for mankind. One, because animals and plants are detrimental in our lives because they are our two main sources of food. Without them, how would we eat or survive. This would cause a serious chain reaction.

I know its hard, but its our responsibility to change our ways to help in the prevention of future effects of global warming. Animals cant do it nor insects, but human beings can. Some of the ways we can omit global warming to start are by the following tips. Instead of catching public transportation(trains, cars, buses or planes) for wherever you have to go, leave earlier then scheduled time by walking, riding a bike or carpooling. Walking or riding a bicycle not only eliminates hazardous gases in the air its good for your health. If you dont feel like walking or pedaling, try calling up a buddy and carpool, even though it still emits CO2, it cuts it down alot, Its better that just one person drives instead of all.. Cut your living expenses by eliminating unnecessary things. Change your light bulbs to a lower watts Use less hot water. Instead of using things like oil, coal and gasoline to heat up, try buying electric heaters and extra blankets. Instead of throwing reusables away like paper, plastic, alluminum, clothes or glass, donate your clothes to the salvation army, a church or someone less fortunate than you. Recycle too! If you comply, your household can save up to 8,400Lbs of CO2 annually. Plant more trees around your house and community, plants use carbon dioxide. Last but not less use energy effiecient products. These products are normally marked in department stores, if you dont see them ask an employee to help you locate them. I know we think like" Well i'm only one person, what impact am I going to have if any"? My answer to that, every little bit helps, all it takes is one to start the chain reaction. We can make a big difference.

Whether in North America, South America, China, Asia, Africa, Austrailia or Canada, global warming is a problem for all of us who inhabit this beautiful, blue planet earth. This is what we call our home. Its up to us to change the environment for the better for animals and future civilizations. Its our duty to change the foundations of our thoughts, opinions, perspectives and knowledge about what is going on. We need to ask ourselves, am I really doing all I can to lend a helping hand in the battle to fight Global Warming or am I allowing it to happen with no input. In the words of the late Greatest entertainer of all time Michael Jackson, "Heal the World and make it better place, for you and for me, the entire human race, ladies and gentlemen, we are the world.
